Front Desk & Ticket Sales Associate

Big Powderhorn Mountain is seeking friendly, dependable, and service-oriented individuals to join our Front Desk & Ticket Sales team for the winter season. As one of the first people our guests meet, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming first impression while helping guests make the most of their visit.

Whether assisting with lift tickets, lodging check-ins, retail purchases, or guest questions, you’ll be at the center of the Big Powderhorn experience. Full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
  • Sell lift tickets, season passes, and other resort products using the point-of-sale system.
  • Check guests in and out of resort lodging accommodations.
  • Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with online reservations and guest inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information about resort services, events, trail conditions, lodging, rentals, lessons, dining, and area attractions.
  • Process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions accurately.
  • Balance cash drawers and assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist guests with reservations, directions, and resolving routine questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and ticket office.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lodging, Rental, Ski School, Lift Operations, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
  • Assist with other resort operations and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable learning and using reservation, ticketing, and point-of-sale software.
  • Ability to multitask while remaining calm and professional during busy periods.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, hotel, or tourism experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is based primarily indoors in a fast-paced guest services environment. Front Desk & Ticket Sales Associates interact continuously with guests in person, over the phone, and electronically while supporting daily resort operations. Weekend, holiday, and peak-season shifts are an essential part of the role.
